Depends on if you want to walk out of an Apple store with the computer, or order it online and wait for shipping.

To custom config a computer you HAVE to order it.

But I'm looking and the current top dog model the 24" 3.06 is pretty beefy. 1TB drive, 4GB RAM, 512MB RAM on the video card....

You can upgrade to a bigger a drive or spend 50 bucks for a slightly higher end video card...Most likely the way its listed on the site is just fine.

You can alway get another 4GB of RAM later and cheaper. Apple charges out the ass for RAM.

MACS are great. A little too pricey for me, but great.

I owned 2 in the past, but decided to go AMD based PC and built my own rig.

Not a huge fan of macmall...check seller rating first. Why not just go through apple?

Slingbox works with apple, no special apple one needed.

Well, one reason is that the prices look pretty darn good:

Also, paying tax on a Refurb machine seems wrong to me, so why isn't it?

Double taxing something! Hmmmm

2.93 or 3.06

I'd be happy with either. I want the 512 Card ( 130 ) or the ATI Radeon

At least 1TB Wireless Mouse & Keyboard

Thanks for those links Scrib. I'm looking at em now...
