Center Channel speaker Mounting problem

I have the Sony KDSR60XBR1 with the matching SUGW12 stand. I just purchased the new V5 Paradigm monitors. I have the CC-290. I was going to place it in the Sony stand,it does not fit. I am living in an apartment right now and I am only going to be here until April. I do not want to put any holes in the walls to mount a shelf over my television. Does anyone have an idea where I can place this? I have seen the mounts for the top of the television and have heard a few horror stories from people using them. The speaker is 32 pounds, pretty heavy. If anyone has an idea, let me know. Thanks for the help.

^^^ The easiest solution is to put it on the floor and point it up so that the tweeter(s) are aimed at the listeners ears sitting in the sweet spot.
