Hey guys,

need some help on getting some surround sound speakers for the ceiling...

I haven't decided which brand to go with yet...any suggestions on which brand/type to get?

want to get the most bang for the buck....

so far i've seen decent in-ceiling surrounds going for $199/pair up to $328/pair...

 

my uncle has a 7.1 setup in his new house with all the speakers in the ceiling (except the sub) and i was shocked at how good it sounded. not sure what brand, but i'll find out next time i see him. i don't think it beats a more traditional setup, but if you are limited on space and are going for a clean/stealth look, you can't go wrong.

 

any news on what brand?

i'm going for stealth in the back as i ran the speaker wires in the ceiling...

fronts will have floorstanding sides with a center channel and a nice sub to complement the setup....still research stuff....

 

I have the 2 fronts in front wall and the middle and rear on my 7.1 in ceiling. Center is shelf and sub is below TV

mine are JBL and they sound good, price was middle of the road.

 

I'd love to do this, but my ceiling is already riddled with recessed lighting.
