Engadget says: "The 103-inch Panasonic TH-103PF9 panel is indeed the exact one used here, but B&O has obviously spruced up the design, added an automatic rising stand and incorporated the BeoSystem 3 and the VisionClear technology that automatically adjusts colors and brightness. Oh, and it tossed in a B&O logo, which is darn near priceless. Speaking of stickers, the set should be available this July for around €100,000 ($136,220) pre-VAT."

It's a $136,000 Panasonic, ferchrissake!! :shakehead

X3.
My Friend has a 94" screen in his basement and the set-up (not including his surround system) was cheaper than my 46" LCD and the difference in pic quality is negligible...

All B&O plasmas are Panasonics, FYI.... They just change the speakers, some of the internal processors, stick their name on it and VIOLA you have a slightly enhanced tv for triple/quadruple the original price.

EDIT: I believe the "normal" 103in Panasonic is just under $80K

that's pretty sexy looking, but why not just buy the original panasonic screen? i thought at least SOME of the cachet of "snob appeal" brands was that they did something special on their own, not just slapped a badge on there...

I've always thought of Bang & Olufsen as having a lot of flash but no substance. It's simply to impress your rich friends.

To me B&O is overpriced and in the same category as Bose as far as pure marketing. Their home audio sounds like crap. Looks nice, but you could put together superior performing home systems at 1/4 the price.
