also considered the projector route, and the TV won after weighing everything.

what lol. What's your thoughts on your projector decision? Do you have it setup in a room with windows? This set is for my main room that has large windows so that was the strongest for running a projector.

now-a-days; you get light cannons! the good ones throw out 3000 lumens or more. then, with your choice of screen (gain) can help mitigate window light.
I painted my room a dark color and covered the window with black out curtains. I bought a 30 dollar screen, so it's not the best, but def. better than a wall. eventually, I'll buy a higher dollar screen.
that's something they dont tell you, the screen is important. my screen looks a little washed out, the screen gain has something to do with it.
if buying top of the line $2k-3k projector; you'll def. want a $2k screen to go with it.
but that seems right in line with your New Sammy.
I lift weights in my room. the last thing I want is to puncture a TV lol

I pondered the situation and decided I'm not too concerned about if there are ads showing. It sounded like people who were pissed off they paid xx amount for a product and seeing ads.
I'll be doing content on the set, as long as ads aren't playing while watching movies or playing games, I'm good.
