If price is the most important factor, Vizio makes a 32" 1080p for $600, the VO32LF and the VOJ320F

Cheap? Proscan 32" from costco.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...rodid=11382407

$329

The specs don't look spectacular (720p, 5ms response, 1200:1 contrast), but for a bedroom TV, it might do.

Target has Phillips and Sony 720p 32" TVs for $500-$600.
I guess you save paying sales tax buying on the web from a non-CA store, though.

My dad got a Vizio 32" Plasma from Wally World this past holiday season for around $400. If you're willing to go plasma, you might find a lower price point than LCD.
