WTF is this?

I woke up this morning at 6, and leaving the house, this shit was all over my god damn new mulch. What the hell is it?

Looks like a mix of freakin' hair, and blood and other nasty shit that's all dried up from the 80+ degree weather. Only thing I can really think is my god damn neighbors cats (black and orange cat) that they just let loose all over the god damn neighborhood, who already scratched up my hood, trunk and bumper on my car from climbing onto it, and pisses all over my plants.

It looks like cat puke + cat coughed up a hair ball.

I'm pissed. Either the cat's stay inside or they're watched on what they're doing, because this shit is ridiculous.

Go to your local animal control place and get traps. Trap the cats, take trap and cats back to animal control.

Problem solved.

It's fungus. Comes in all sorts of textures and colors. I had some that was bright orange. It's pretty typical of mulch. Don't know how to get rid of it though. Maybe some bleach?

My moms got artillery fungus. That shit is nasty. Leaves tiny brown spots everywhere that are hard as cement.

Head to a Garden Supply place. I'm not sure bleach on mulch is a great idea.

turn all your mulch over and spray with fungicide (if that's the word they use for it).

It's definitely not pie. This morning, it was a foamy texture, and since it's hot out now, it's dried up to that texture.

I just told the neighbors to clean it up and keep their cats inside or else I'm calling animal control.

HOA isn't too happy with these cats walking around at night either.

It does look like the fungus, which it probably is, but theres still a hairball embedded into it.

K, yeah it definitely looks like fungus, still doesn't justify the other hairballs these damn cats leave in my mulch.

We've had that slime fungus the last couples days in the morning. We've been getting a lot of rain at night. However, the fungus dries up in the sun in the same day.

Dude, they're cats. What's so bad about them? You act like they are ruining your life somehow? They are doing animal stuff, outdoors. Big woop. Let it go.

If you had two cats who scratch up your car, I'm pretty sure you'd be the same way.
