Just jumped into this thread late, but your house is coming along great! I'm just now finishing my basement and this is pretty motivating.

Just got caught up on the thread since I last saw it in the summer...really brought back memories of my construction days

And somehow I'd forgotten all about the conduit code in Indiana that you informed me about long ago haha...still can't believe they require that! Would take forever and be the worst to install, plus all the extra cost involved!

Everything looks great though! Party at Scrib's house this summer!??

I could have gone romex, would have saved $3K. Code has "lightened" a bit, the town we moved to make their own decision to change the local code.

I still elected to go conduit. Just not a fan of romex. My luck, my wife would be hanging a picture, miss the stud and BAM.

Wow looks amazing! I love the red accented wall. Very nice shade of red.

3k huh...I could almost see it being more. It's a whole lot of extra labor no matter how you go about it.

And you know, as far as your last sentence is concerned, I've never thought of that happening. I guess it's possible if you're hanging the picture with a gutter spike

Or some noob doesn't staple the Romex in the middle of the stud

If you remember, do you mind getting a picture of the panel when you get a chance? I'm curious to see how they did it

You want me to pull the panels off to show the wires, etc? I can do that, may be a bit of time.

They ended up doing a side-car and pulling in 300 amp service. I'm a power whore.

Power whore indeed!

If possible I'd like to see the wires, but if it's a PITA don't worry about it.

Wow. I love it. I can't say I'm not jealous...

I can't wait to see it complete.

I've been looking at the Control4 stuff and it's really cool. I don't know if I could justify it on 1500 sq ft though .

Final walkthrough tomorrow. Things are pretty much there. Need to finish up some of the shoe trim, and clean. Appliances went in today. I also installed the rack. Closing Thursday, move Friday. Hoping I can get everything squared away with DirecTV on Saturday, have the TV up for the Superbowl!

The dark wood and paint colors are absolutely stunning together. Better be careful with socks and a wood stair case though...I'd fall on my ass.

ME 2! This house is UNBELIEVABLE!

Scrib...I will live in your basement. I love following threads like this. Housing remodeling, construction, etc, always amazes me how much thought and effort goes into all of this and no one never notices. My siblings could care less about things like this. Oh well, my house will be nice when I'm able to get one.
