Upgraded the Trane units......
So, my house was built in 1987. Back when builders took pride in building homes and put good equipment in houses and didn't cut corners. I had the units serviced every year and this year, the guys said, the time is now to replace them. I knew it was time given these things are 21 years old. So they came in and replaced my gas heating system and replaced both a/c units with top of the line Trane XL models with the touchscreen thermostats. You can even call the house and adjust them if you are away and want to save on energy. I couldn't believe the size of the new ones. Dual speed both heating and cooling. Nothing stops a Trane..................
The oldies but goodies................
Another pic...........
The new ones with my son in the middle.... Alex is 44 inches tall............

it's me, Alan Rickman.
err.. why do you have two?
I'm in a new area and everything has one unit outside; the two story homes have ZTE systems [Zoned Thermal Equalizer or something] that will direct airflow to the 1st or 2nd floor depending on floor temperature and requested temperature..

I asked about one unit but the house is wired and setup for two. To do the entire system over from scratch including the heating systems would cost more than to leave it as it was. Besides, I told them I am expanding to the third floor of my house within five years hense the bigger unit on the right would be able to cool the second and third floor. Make sense? I have 2600 square feet now so when I expand it, it will be over 3400 square feet.

Yes they did. I told the wife we need to spend money staring with the letter A. AC units are done........Let me think what else starts with A..........A-spec. Hopefully for my b-day next month I can swing it. Those Tranes cost a fortune but you get your money back in the long run.

I had a little Trane just like that at my townhouse. I thought it was a POS. Too small and under powered. The Trane system that is at my current house was installed by a dealer that I will never do business with again.

I hear ya man....The dealer I had install it promised all sorts of shit that I never got. I will say I was very dissapointed after the install. It didn't pass inspection and they took there sweet time fixing it. Oh well......I wish I could install it myself but these things ya can't touch...
