Time to buy a sofa... La-z-boy?
Any opinions on La-z-boy sofas?
I went to 3 different stores today to check out sofas and La-z-boy had one that I really liked. It's a 3-person sofa with built-in recliners on both sides. The fabric is almost suede-like, perhaps microfiber. I liked it a lot.
Are prices negotiable at La-z-boy? The other two places definitely were negotiable. If La-z-boy could come down a couple of hundred bucks, it would definitely seal the deal.
So what's your experience with La-z-boy?
Thanks!

Which one is it? I need a new one as well.
I had a La z boy recliner for about 7 years, it was one my mother had for 15 years and before her, her mom had it for about 10 years.

The worst you could do is try. The way the economy is going, EVERYTHING is negotiable. I just bought a 3 piece living room set by Lane. The sofa and loveseat both have recliners on both ends, are leather, and to me they don't look like reclining pieces.

I have a La-z-boy sofa and love seat setup. It's about 6 years old now. The fabric is starting to show wear but at least its not ripping apart. In defense of the product they are in our main living room and subject to daily abuse by 3 kids and a dog. The structure has held up very well. No signs that they are gong to fall apart.
The couch has heat/massage. Next time I will skip that. Each recliner needs a power source to support that feature its its not something I care for.
I would buy their product again. As far as negotiation that's a yes in a furniture store. You can usually get them to knock off a few buck if you are buying several items and you can always get a break on the delivery fee.

We purchased from LB. Nice sofa, f'n morons doing the delivery! Ripped the upholstery (2) times and took large dings out of my woodwork. Not if they were the last store on earth.

it's me, Alan Rickman.
Our single chair and sectional ran about $5k.. not very impressed with it; no kids.. just the two of us [and the cats], the method they use to hold the sectional together [bolts that slide into hooks] are a pain in the ass, leave spaces in the back, it's starting to creak, and the stuffing isn't doing well.. already replaced all of the stuffing in the throw pillows, and the pillow portions of the couch / seat are starting to sag..
Too much money spent for the sofa to wear so quickly [2 - 3 years old or so]; I think the stuff at Costco or Sam's looks like it holds up better..
