Thanks guys....and sorry for being lazy with the updates....

We recently had a new addition to the family....since in my tradition my sister names my baby, I had to bribe her pretty well to make sure it was something that we chose LOL....e finalized on Siddharth and we just gonna call him Sid

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10024150826/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10024150826/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

So here is the kids room....but we moved the crib and the nursing chair to the master so he can be in the same room and its easier for us when he wakes us up in the middle of the night ....moved it to a corner so no vents are blowing AC/Heat to his face but the corner is still well ventilated...

I need to take an updated pic of his room...this is from before he was born

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297555596/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297555596/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

in the master

Some new additions to the house:

We ended up moving the dining table to the breakfast area and replaced it with this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297703616/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297703616/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297581974/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297581974/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297777533/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297777533/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

also added a chaise to the living area...my dad overlooking my work LOL

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297625786/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297625786/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

kitchen (just for you Dave ):

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297755835/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297755835/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

for the office, we went with a writing desk instead of a computer desk so the wifey and I can sit on the same table from both the sides....since we work from home, it ended up being a better solution....

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297805793/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297805793/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

and finally we got a swing and a bassinet for the little one so he could be on the main level during the day....he has his days and nights flipped and I want him to be around some sound/daylight through the day so he realizes the difference....

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297719076/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297719076/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297724953/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297724953/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

all in all parenthood is awesome....its tough, no doubt about it....I have never been so sleepless in my life....he has to feed every 3-4 hours, so 11pm, then 3am, then 7am....and feeding is around 20 odd minutes but he likes to play after that and then sleep....also we are lucky he aint cranky....but even after all of this, something amazing happens and you feel its alll sooo damn worth it !!!

and finally got a chance to take a pic for you Maj...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297538573/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/10297538573/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr

ANIL!!! Loving the kitchen. Though, baby Sid trumps it all. He's beautiful man! And I agree, a kid falling asleep in your arms is pure BLISS.

Can't wait for my 2 year old daughter to go to sleep tonight, she's been super hyper today.

Oooh alcohol FTW!

House is filling up nicely too.. although the liquor cabinet is a bit thin, and no pic of fine vodkas in freezer.

Thanks Maj....we are piecemeal-ing it....

yeah the liquor cabinet is slowly filling up....most of the get-together(s) I have had at home, people go for the beer, so I make sure that is stocked up right LOL...

Congrats on the kid! You say you can't believe he's 18 days, mine is almost 18 months, feels like I just blinked. House is looking good too, once he starts sleeping normal work on filling up that liquor cabinet!

That's code for: Anil will spoil his daughter big time. I wouldn't mind having another girl.

BTW how do you like having hardwood floors in the main living areas and carpet in the bedrooms?

buddy we dont have hardwood floors in any of the bedrooms....we have it on the full lower level (dining/kitchen/great/office).....

Advantages of not having it in the bedroom is when winter sets in, the floors are not cold to walk on....Carpet insulated the floor well

Hardwood looks awesome but the maintenance is a pain....dont get very very dark color coz you will see the slightest amount of dirt on it....very very light and it does not look very appealing (personal preference comes in here)

Cleaning is a pain...you have to dry mop it and then wet mop it....carpet cleans quicker....if you drop water, you need to clean it quickly so it doesnt mess up the hardwood....so just those things but other than that, I love how it looks....so its a trade off

a fridge might suffice in the garage, no bar

I said that. Anil you're working to hard and probably not getting enough sleep. The floors are nice too! I am a fan of carpet. I notice how popular hardwood is nowadays and I always ask owners about the maintenance of it. Thanks for your input.

^^^ datnammit....I totally skimmed over that

the only "bedroom" we have hardwood in is our 5th bedroom/office....

but yeah maintenance is not THAT bad....if we had to do it again, we will definitely go the same route
