Suggetions for hose?

I need a new garden/car washing hose, I currently have one of those self coiling ones which I absolutely hate. My faucet is inside my garage so the hose needs to be able to fit on the wall of my garage. I would like one that retracts itself, but it really just needs to be easy to handle.

Has anyone use one of those flat hoses, it looks like its pretty compact?

I have always had the best luck with those light green color hoses - probably like an inch diameter. They do not kink or crack or leak. Relative of mine always uses those skinnier dark green and white hoses - the thing always kinks and leaks/breaks easily. Total garbage.

Sorry I do not have the name - probably at home, but since I still have the ORIGINAL two hoses I bought nine years ago - I may not even have that info. Probably bought them at ACE at the time. Could have paid $30 for each one - not sure.

Sears. Lifetime Warranty. Last hose I paid for was 1974.

What do you guys think of that As Seen On TV flat hose? It's called the Magna hose.

Thoughts?

Most of the flat hoses require you to unroll the entire hose to use it. Or else you get no pressure cause the hose is kinked upon itself when you turn the water on.

I have a goodyear 5/8" black industrial hose. It's heavy as hell but damn near indestructible.

Those suck! More trouble than they are worth. After many years of going to Walmart and getting the green garden hoses every few years I bit the bullet and bought two Craftsman hoses from Sears. Wow, what a difference! They are great, never kink and have a lifetime warranty.
