Removing light fixtures.

So a blub in one of my ceiling lights went out and I need to replace it. Problem is that I cant remove the damn fixture to get to the lights. I tried pulling it, and untwisting it and god knows everything inbetween. If anybody knows how to take off the covers or has an intelligent non-damage causing ideas please let me know. Here are pictures.

I believe we have the same light downstairs. The dome is a glass/porcelin, and the thing holds 3 bulbs, correct? If so, the glass part untwists. Try applying some light upward pressure as you "untwist" it.

Yeah I have the same light. They are actually pretty sturdy, so I imagine it would hurt to have it fall on your head. Ours is in the hallway below my little brothers room so when he was jumping around once it fell, hit the floor and didn't break

Glad you got it working
