Reeded Glass... which direction?

I'm about to install the "reeded" glass panels in my cabinets... looks like this...

Now, obviously, one side is smooth and one side is reeded... you can't tell which side is which by looking at it...

Which side should face out? Does it make a difference?

I'm thinking the reeded side is supposed to face out simply because I suppose the lighting would fall across it differently.

Just want to be sure...

Flat side out would probably be better for cleaning too, but I really don't know how it's supposed to go either

Right on the money. Flat out and the reeded in, so your clean up is a breeze
