I was originally looking at a Grohe, but several online comments about mentioned that if you ever need to replace components like the cartridge, it can be togh to find/order them, and you generally have to wait a week or so for them to ship to you. ain't no body got time fo dat. Moen parts/cartridges are easy to find.

Also, they discontinued the model I like.

Source of 20% off coupon? I would prefer to buy this locally (HD and Lowe's are same price as Amazon) to make any possible returns process easier.

This one is 17" tall and has a 9" reach.
I was looking at that one, too, but in brushed nickel. I like the more substantial handle on it than on the one I choose.

Pairing the faucet with this sink. Currently we have the original laminate counter tops, so I will be installing the sink as a drop in, but when we upgrade the counter tops, we can use the same sink as an under mount.

If I were you, I'd try and find a thicker gauge steel for the sink. These things dent so easily especially the ones with flat sides. Also, get the deepest one you can find, it hides all your dishes nicely. This one is 9" deep but you can get 10" deep ones with thicker walls.

If you have no reason to change out your sink, I'd just keep your current until you upgrade the counters.

Check out Costco and Amazon, they have some pretty competitive pricing on sinks. Kraus brand to be exact.

9" is actually what we were looking for so we don't have to reach too far down when doing dishes.

In terms of the gauge, I would prefer 16 for both noise and durability but all the 16 gauge sinks I found had a significant lip where the sink sits on the counter (remember, I am dropping this into an existing counter top hole). I was hoping for a flusher edge, as I cannot stand stuff getting stuck on the counter at the edge where the sink and the counter meet. I am hoping $30 worth of Dynamat on the bottom of a 16 gauge should be fine.

I have Kohler plumbing fixtures...they do make a nice modern look. But, I think all of them do now. Toto also has some nice stuff.

All of my new houses's toilets are Toto, I have "yadda yadda down in Africa" stuck over and over in my head every time I take a leak.
