Paint suggestions for my new place
I'm moving into my new condo and want to do some painting. I plan on doing an accent wall on the wall behind my bed. I have really contemporary styled furniture in my bed room. Consisting of just this model of bed, in a dark espresso wood, a silver/grey tv stand with a black lcd tv, and a single espresso wall shelf that sits on the opposite wall from the bed. Bed spread in a satin type darker brown, with light green sheets. I have a few white vase's around with bamboo shoots. Does anyone have any suggestions of what color to paint the wall? I was thinking a dark green or burnt orange, or possibly an eggplant color.
Here is the bed:
All the furniture is similar in color in the living room, and the cabinets in the kitchen are also the same. Granite counter tops that are redish in color. I have already painted the main wall in the living room a light green that goes well with the sofa and accent pieces. Please help with my room!!

That's a tough one. I would think a pale yellow may work with the kitchen. I like the way reds and yellows look together.
Not too sure about the bedroom though. How about a gray? I have a bunch of Pantone color books that I use when I painted. They come in really handy. It's like having all those color cards you find at Lowes in one place.

I would go with a green, but nothing TOO dark...
Sherwin Williams has "color to go", which are little samples that allow you to see what the color would actually look like on your wall, with your furniture.
color to go
You can experiment on the Sherwin Williams website... They have sample rooms, including bedrooms, with sample furniture, including a dark set, and you can choose a variety of colors to see which you would like the best...
There is one green called "Courtyard" that looks very classy.

Thanks guys......
I do like the green color. Only apprehension I have with it is the fact that I've had that color on my walls for the past 2 years already. Kinda wanted to go with a different look, but it keeps drawing me back in. ugh
Heading to restoration hardware after work to take a look at some samples.
