New Bathroom Pics

I posted a while ago about the bathroom renovation my parents were beginning. Unfortunately, I didn't take any before pictures - mainly because I don't live with them and didn't have my camera over winter break. Anyway, now that I'm home for spring break I decided to snap a few pictures.

The bathrooms needed to be completely gutted and the project was started by replacing all the pipes. The old pipes were leaking, and the water was dripping into my room, threatening my wine collection.
In the first bathroom they moved the toilet against the wall and added the cabinet with sink. Also replaced the tub and re-tiled everything. Still need to find a medicine cabinet with a good mirror.

Anyway-

First bathroom:

Second bathroom:

Where the ceiling was leaking - still need to patch the removed sections:

It was a lot. Tearing out all the old pipes made the project a lot more expensive.

Looks great. I've never seen a bathroom with an exit door to the outside -- is there some particular reason for that feature?

Haven't found one they like yet. Still sorting out all the minor things - blinds for the windows being another.

Stairs leading down to the hot tub. Figured it would be easier to add a door to the bathroom instead of going through the house all wet.

Finally added a mirror to the first bathroom today. As much as we tried to support the local businesses and stay away from Home Depot and Lowes, the mirror prices at the local shop were outrageous. On top of charging 350 dollars for just a mirror, they wanted us to pay the shipping costs for them to restock what we bought. Ridiculous. Pretty much the same mirror at Home Depot was 50 dollars.

Considering going slightly bigger on the oval mirror, but don't have too much more space with the lights where they are.

wow, well done. On your second bathroom, is it normal to have a door like that to outside? I never seen that before.

It leads down to where the hot tub is. Instead of going through the house wet, you can just walk up the stairs to the bathroom.
