My 2 weekend project....finished the Kitchen

I bought my house about a year ago and I have wanted hardwood flooring for a while, well I found a auction and it was going cheap, 0.60 a sq/ft for English Beech Laminate from Ace Hardware. While we were there we also saw some nice granite counter tops, and they fit the counter without cutting either side just PERFECT! beat of all we got these for 100 a piece, knowing that the cutting for the sink will be hard since it is finished I purchased a extra piece, but didnt need it so I have one extra lying around not being used........anyways, here are the before and after pictures, I have to say for doing it all myself with the help of my father and the wife cleaning, we finished the entire kitchen within 2 weekends, nto bad and we spent all under 1500 to update it completely, new lighting, fan, stove exhaust fan, power plugs, paint and knobs.

.

All I have left to do now if finish up the rest of the house, today I was able to rip out the carpet in the hallway and front room to make way for the continuation of hardwood flooring from the kitchen, one day i was able to rip it all out and do the whole hallway with only my wife to help/clean

thanks for all your input

Joe

Dude! That's awesome! Looks like you guys did a nice job. Now all you guys have to do is paint that ugly peeling red fence that i see out the window. I'm sure that will kill the mood easily after seeing the nice kitchen.
