I already use CFLs in every light in our house. A/C units (built in 2003) are very efficient, and have R-30 insulation in the attic crawlsapce above my house.

They only estimated that I could save a little over a hundred a year. Obviously I don't have all of the detailed info at work, but their estimated costs were very reasonable. My biggest savings could be realized in water heating (old water heater) and lighting. Other than that, there's not much I can really do.

My home was just constructed a couple months ago and is energy star rated. My entire house is electric with no gas present and I have a heat pump instead of a standard air conditioner unit which is suppose to be more efficient. Not sure of the R value of the insulation in the attic but it's the type that they spray not the roll form.

I abhor CFL's, but have a handful of LED's and am hoping the technology improves quickly.

We also recycle and compost.

way to much stuff to find and put into that website in a few minute. My power bill is about 130 dollars a month:

3600 Sq Ft.
2 Floors
2 Centeral A/C units set to 76 upstairs and 77 downstairs
2 Refrigerators
CCFL's everywhere!

Are you talking about LEDs that fit into a standard light socket?

Every single light in my house is CFL.

It's a video demonstrating/comparing incandescent, CFL, and various LED based light bulbs. Try this?

Ours is pretty good. Granted we live in an interior town house, but it really doesn't use a lot of power.

CFLs BLOW and I only have them in one closet in the house, and I hate them in there.
