hardwood look ceramic tile

The insurance adjuster came today and condemned the carpet in my bedroom as well as the living room after the flood this weekend. My fiancee had wanted to put laminate wood flooring in the living room before this.

Today the FIL called the builder he knows, and had ceramic tile that look like hardwood flooring suggested to him. I've checked it out online, and it looks pretty sweet, but Ive never seen it in person. Anyone have any experience with, or knowledge of it?

Ouch, sorry to hear, that looks cool, but I hate ceramic tile in the living areas. I have a hard time walking on it w/o shoes.

I have no problem walking on it. Ultimately, its not my decision to make.

if the area is prone to flooding, or can flood... i would go with ceramic tile... since it will help from any above surface damage... anything else (i.e.. laminate or linoleum) will get damaged from any flooding...
