i have not used them myself, but i hear they are a good alternative to a costly re-sod. although i know that it takes a while... good luck

Zoysia spreads slowly. It is a nice thick grass though. Loves warm climates, will go domant if you get temps in the 40s and it will look like hay.

In other words if you use plugs you will need a lot of them. If you are doing your whole lawn then just get sod. Once you put it in, you better like it, you will never get it out.

I have some in my backyard but its dormant now. Do you get cool temps in your area? I would take a pic of it for you but right now its covered in snow.

Looks great in the summer.
One of the previous owners put it in.

Google kill zoysia
to see what's involved in getting rid of it.

I'll look to see if I have a pic.

They did plugs. Zoysia is very difficult to grow from seed, so your options would be plugs or sod.

I've never heard of this. I have heard people talking about Canadian Green Grass. My boss was going to use, but them got some sod wholesale.

I tried Zoysia from the exact place that you linked to and it did not work for me. I did everything as prescribed and even used the specific fertilizer that they sold and nothing. Zoysia grows well in this area as both a buddy of mine has it and loves it and our local VA Tech Aggy Extension Agent encouraged me to do it. For some reason it did not take...

The worst part to me was that Zoysia Farms refused to refund my $$$ for all of their zoysia product. I was cool with paying the shipping cost and for the fertilizer, but I did not feel that I should pay for a product that did not work for me. Despite their "satisfaction guaranteed" claim, I had to go through my credit card to get the charges reversed. I only resorted to that after being unable to resolve it directly through Zoysia Farms. That alone soured me on Zoysia Farms. They should be willing to stand behind their product.

I had actually asked about this a while back: https://acurazine.com/forums/home-garden-37/has-anyone-ever-used-amazoy-grass-333321/

In the end we just decided to go with sod. https://acurazine.com/forums/home-garden-37/new-landscaping-pics-new-pics-2-20-sod-installation-complete-358571/

We did not feel like dealing with the plugs. And yes, you can get zoysia in sod form... but the real deciding factor was that we did not want brown grass in the winter.
