Garage!

Finally, after months of waiting, the garage will be started tommorrow. The materials are being delievered right now, and the crew will be here tommorrow to start. Should take about 7 days for the building, and then we have to run electrical, water and heat and insulate it. It's a total of 1350 square feet, and 30x45, with two garage doors facing the house, and one on the side.

But y'see, that's how garages work -- the bigger you make them, the more junk that gets stored in them, so the smaller they seem!

We have a lot of stuff. At least 2 cars need a garage spot, 4 quads, 1 dirt bike, 1 street bike, riding lawnmower and tractor. Add in all the crap and extra parts, tires, rims, etc., and it's scary how much stuff we have.

Very nice. Are you going to fill it with cars or make a part of it a work area?

The two front bays will be for the M3 and the TSX. To the side of those will be for the ATVS and dirt bikes, with the whole back for work space.

1) The lift is debatable. I sent a budget for what I want to spend on extras, and a lift isn't in there right now. I would rather spend the money on something else, like tool chests or more power tools. It's not really needed, but it is a possibility for the future.

2) The floor goes in on Friday hopefully. 4 inches of some sort of crushed stone and then concrete on top of that. I'm still debating about what I am doing with the floor. I don't want to spend close to 4-5k on the RaceDek flooring.

3) I think the garage is just slightly smaller than the house, square footage wise.

Yeah, it will have heat, electricity, security system and I'm debating about running cable out there. My town will not allow me to have any tenants, even parents, or any seperate livable buildings
