My parents recently had retrofit windows put in. Now they are planning on having the house repainted, along with some stucco repair. They have decoration-type shutters that need to go and are thinking about using the styrofoam-stucco "framing" around the exterior of windows. I personally don't care much for the way it looks, but the windows definitely need something around them or the house looks too plain. Any opinions or ideas for alternatives?
