I borrowed one of these from my neighbor to do ours: 22 foot I think. I need to just pick one up for myself, I think a 30' would be just right to be able to do it all easier.

Weather has been in the mid 40's lately. Guessing it'll plummet pretty soon though.

Looks good! I’m still working on mine. Lights are on the house, need to do my lawn decorations now. I was scared shitless because I have a 2 story...

I agree with you on the weather. Currently it’s 39 in Cali with a high of 68..

^ Yeah, I wan't getting on the roof. Did it all with a 22' ladder.
Will try to have a 32' next year which should make the job easier.

yeah, over a certain height I wouldn't recommend the little giant...the hinge thing is kinda sketch if full extended and you have some weight on you.
I have the 17'...and it's heavy too.

The 22' Werner has a good bit of bounce to it on the way up/down when fully extended. And it ain't light.

I think I have that same one. It's heavy AF but really stable even at full extension. Yes it has some bounce but the hinge is solid and I trust it to hold.

Yeah, it's stable for sure, just that bit of bounce about halfway up is a little unnerving the first couple times. Especially when you're used to rigid extension ladders.
The Werner being able to collapse/fold down to about a 4' tall ladder makes it a lot easier to store.

I have the same 17' Werner. Extended out, there was so much bounce. I went half way up and was like eff this....

I'm just going to rent a power lift next year.

Had someone in my office make the comment that a lift truck would've made it easier.
While true, the soft yard would've been a mess, along with disassembly of the fence.

I don't get on the scale. Don't need that kind of negativity in my life.

LOL...same...been eating whatever I want, but LESS of it...cut out alcohol...go run 2 miles 4 mornings a week...
being happy helps...all chemical levels are probably better.
I was up to 260 at one point...probably around 230 married and 215 single (with active gf).

I think we are a visual representation of how we feel assuming decent habits.

Sorry for the OT...

Yeah, I'm on the 85/15 plan where I eat super clean 85% of the time and whatever I want (within reason) the other 15% of the time. I don't want to cut alcohol but quit beer and went to the hard stuff to cut carbs. Don't know if that's good or bad at this point but we'll see how it goes lol. Keep it up though! The S2000 isn't kind to larger people lol.

Thanks Sam...
I was amazed at how much better it felt to get into the seat and not be onto it with my muffin top.
Alcohol is just something I have decided has more cons than pros for me so I'd rather just not have it at all.

You guys need to go to the Health and Fitness side....

I really should check my weight, but I wanted to wait until after I cut. I know my pre-cut weight.

Seafood diet here, see food & eat it. My dad is the same way, he's maybe 190lbs at 55 years old.

In house news, picked up a Ring doorbell.

Co-worker had bought it on Black Friday & his wife decided she didn't want it. He was going to return it via Amazon.
We had some packages for my wife's business stolen (we think, they show delivered & weren't there on the porch) last night, around $600 in product. He's selling me the camera for what he bought it, about half what they list for on the Ring website.

This one is the base Ring Doorbell, so they were $99 for BF. Still available at that price in the nickel finish. Ours is the Venetian Bronze, which should go well with the wrought iron on the front door.

Does the base one have video?

I guess I could look it up myself.

720p video, but no live view. All models above the base model have the ability to live view the camera.
This one does record, I guess you have to do the $30/yr service for it to have the recordings

Damn sorry to hear about your wife's packages. Things are getting crazy with the holidays approaching. Two days in a row UPS missed scheduled deliveries for me.

Ring Camera installed last night. Simple install, longest part was waiting on my drill battery to charge to drill into the brick for the anchors.

A little washed out with the porch lights on, didn't get a night vision shot.

damn, I might do that too...
I hate that my gf's house she can't see who is at the door without checking looking through the window (door doesn't have one).
Which model did you end up with?

It's just the base Ring Doorbell. They were on sale for $99 on Amazon for BF. Checked yesterday & the nickel finish was still $99. Normal price is $179.

Have gotten a few false positives via motion, but I'd rather that than to miss someone actually there.

Thanks man...just saw it...
I'm thinking of picking one up...so much easier than whole house wiring in attic...I kinda wanna do front driveway and rear of home, but really the front door would be great.

I think I agree...
except one thing...
if you hard wire to your existing doorbell there is no need for any sort of battery, correct?
I'm not pulling that bitch to charge it...nobody would remember to do that.

That's what I understand but one guy said his eventually died and had to charge it even though hard wired.

I saw that review and it made me pause for a moment...seems like you can get a decent 720P system with the hard drive for a couple hundy and maybe that money would be better used toward that...
at least to me...we have a pool and driveway with cool cars on it...I think I want some added protection.

I don't have a doorbell, I have a knocker. Think I can hook it up to that?
