I've got nothing to add, but man do I hate painting

Yup.
I originally hired a painter to do the guest rooms. I was fed up with trying to cover Dallas & Denver foosball colors.

Painting is one thing I'll gladly pay someone else to do.

It's all fun and games until you have 3 cars and want a 4th...

2 cars & 2 motorcycles in there right now. Luckily, I've got 7 years or so until my oldest gets a car.

The driveway does taper down on the far left, but not to a 2-wide, more like a 2.5 wide.
Bikes are a 2001 Indian Scout & a 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S
The Scout is my father-in-law's, holding it for him until they have room in their garage for it to fit with his Victory Cross Country Tour
Vulcan is my dad's. Similar, took it for a while so he can get some work done in his shop & try to get the CJ out to make room for his '72 Mercedes project.

500k gets you more than we've got around here.
Could probably get into a 1/2 acre with a 5/3/3 ~5k sq ft for 500k.

I'm jelly. $500k around here doesn't get you a whole lot more than a slightly larger version of my house.

And then there was 1.
Garage gained some space yesterday. My father-in-law made enough room in their garage to fit the Indian, so he came & picked it up last night.

Love the Vulcan. You ride it at all or just storing it for Dad?

I've put about 700 miles on it in a couple months. Such a fun bike to ride hard without getting into trouble.
Can take a lot of lean before scraping the pegs & can be run pretty hard without getting into speed limit troubles.

Compared to the Scout, the Vulcan S may as well be a sport bike. Definitely doesn't ride like your typical cruiser.

After 11 years, my grill may be about done. Living on the back porch, instead of the garage like it did at our old house, has taken its toll.
I think one of the burners is cracked/rotted, so it's not getting enough, or too much flow. Barely reaches 200*
Anyone have luck replacing hte burners? I'd rather sink $50 into keeping this one going, than dropping $$$ on a new/nicer grill right now.
Long term, I'd want to maybe do a built-in on the back porch, so investing in a new grill would negate that for a while.

You can definitely swap burners provided your grill manufacturer sells the parts.

Sold.
Out of warranty, cracked wheel, needed something electrical (battery, aux batt, alternator).
Got out before it left me with a big repair bill.
Still have the Vulcan for having a fun drive, and slumming it in the Malibu for a bit while we get some financial stuff sorted (business debt to pay off).

@00TL-P3.2 funny you mention that...
I have a freebie weber that I got about 5 years ago...
I did new flame tamers back then...well, it got to the
point where the starter wasn't working and burner
deteriorated so badly we had to cook like it was a
campfire in the one corner. Finally the bottom where
the tank sat rusted out...
J started looking on offerup or at new ones so I got
serious with it...
$31 for burner, $16 for starter and $21 for a piece of zinc
plated metal and I should be good for another few years.
Amazon ftw!
I didn't realize how much it annoyed me to have uneven
cooking surface until after I fixed it.

Yeah, it had been progressively been getting worse.
It cooked much hotter on the right than the left. The burner 'hats' were deteriorated pretty badly. The igniter hasn't worked in years, manual start with a long stick lighter.
But, luckily, the body of the grill is in good shape. Not bad for a $200 WalMart special.

Minor garage update.
Replaced bulbs in 2 of the 3 fluorescents with LEDs & relocated the 12' ladder to the ceiling. It's rarely used & well out of the way this way.

Why you got a chandelier in your garage? You pretty luxury, huh?

It was replaced with a ceiling fan.
Have in CL for relatively cheap & don't want to just toss it.

Yes, I do. But it got the rarely used 12' out of the way. Can't store it outside without it breaking down the fiberglass & making life an itchy miserable time.
The 28' aluminum extension ladder is hung on the fence in the back yard. Pretty much only comes out for hanging/removing Christmas lights.
