Sounds good

I would eat more fruit and vegetables.

Replace peanuts with almonds.

Cut out the light - mayo, use mustard instead.

Add 1 yolk to your eggwhites. 1 yolk is healthy.

I would also eat more healthy fats.

You should try hard to count calories if you really want to cut.

Figure out how many calories you're burning, and make sure to stay below that. I think you may be eating too many calories if you're cutting.

If you want to cut...You have to find out how much you want to lose...For instance, right now you are 220 lets say you want to drop to 180...well in order to drop to 180 you would have to multiply 180 x 15 = 2700 calories per day...I got this info from MensHealth.com and as far as using whey protein for weight loss I was told to stay away from it...

More or less, Yes. There are better options, i.e almond/cashew butter...but for the money , yes it's mostly unsaturated fats.

Ideally, you want to go with a natural choice, generic has some added sugar, but it wont kill you.

Personally, I wouldn't be too concerned about counting calories, instead making sure the sources of your food are healthy. At 220lbs, you don't want to drop calories too much, you will be hungry, grumpy, and lethargic, as well as lose muscle.

Personally, if you really want to shred up, I would avoid eating grains/starches/breads - now this does not mean avoid eating carbs - still load up a ton on your vegetables and fruits and eat more healthy fats. Fats provide way more energy than carbs, and contrary to the belief, Fats do not make you fat.

Im 160-165 lbs, 5'7 , and around 7-8% body fat. I workout regularly, at a high intensity, but I dont touch grains or starches, at all. Maybe once every 2 weeks.

I do however eat alot of almonds, cashews, almond/peanutbutter throughout the day. I have more energy, and don't "crash"....

read up on the Paleo diet, and if your concerned with portion control, the Zone diet - this are not "quick fix" diets like south beach, etc - they are ways of life....so I highly suggest you research them and at least do a Paleo challenge for 1 month.

Take my word for it.

I've never been a big fan of mayo - what I've suggested to other people is to substitute horse radish. While it does depend on your ability to deal with a little spice/heat - it seems to work great for me
