push start lost key!help please

Today i misplaced my key for my 09 acura tl that has push start. I looked for it but couldnt find it. The car still turned on with the push start and i was able to drive it . is the key somewhere in the car since its turning on? I also tried locking the car and when i closed the door it unlocked on its own. At night i left one window open just incase the car locked. In the morning i tried to get in the car but it was locked i got inside and the alarm went off . i tried push starting it but now it asked to enter the key. Can anyone help me .

Key could definitely be hiding somewhere in the cabin or trunk because it will not start without the remote.

No the key was outside the car but close enough to the parked car that it allowed you to start the car where it was parked.

Once you drove home and turn the car off the car locked and set the alarm bc the key is no longer in the vicinity of your car.

So go back to where the car was park and look for the lost key.

Goodluck.

Recheck the clothes you were wearing. Were you carrying a bag? Sounds like the key was "lost". but on your person, and when you came back in the morning, you were wearing something else, or not carrying whatever had the key.

It's not rocket science, just look in the car in a very through systematic way. Its going to be yae or nay.

Be sure to check inbetween the seats and the center console.

If its not in the car then you probably lost the key at the last place you stopped and got out the vehicle.

The key has to be in your car. I tested out locking the key in car and it will auto-unlock it.

Be methodical (back to front (my salesman was in back seat when I test drove the car) /top to bottom (sunglass holder)) and then get someone else to look. I have had to install some seat covers (coverking) on my car, it may be wedged in there somewhere.

I am certain that if you can't lock your car, it is in your car. (I have Tech Package with push button start).

Good luck!
