DIY: Cheap and Lazy way to mod your grill
#81
Thanks for the info
Your post was informative and helpful to us over in the RL area. Some may not be aware that a 2009 RL arrives in about 3 weeks and may have a big aesthetic problem with the OEM grill. It looks gaudy in pictures from the Chicago Auto show and on Acura's website under "Future Vehicles".
The fact that the grill can be popped out so easily and modified...maybe by a 3rd party if there is enough demand is great to know.
I have to see it in person to judge, but from pictures it appears similar to the new TSX grille, but oversized and maybe out of balance with the rest of the car.

Make a hole, coming thru!
This does make a good case that if the grill can be popped out and modded without much ado, then "the element" on the '09 TSX is something easily remedied by owners on their initiative.

Should move this crap to the 2G RL section. We'll see what the old farts have to add. Wait, I'm old enough to comment as a fart would...
"I think they'd look good in gold plate."
