I have a 2002 RL with 244,000 miles. When I brake from highway speeds - 75-80 - the brake pedal vibrates big time. The faster I brake from the more it vibrates. I've had the front rotors resurfaced and new pads, then had the rotors replaced and today having them resurfaced again on warranty. The brakes work well, it's the vibration that seems to be causing issues. The car is in excellent condition and maintained by the book.

The problem is that I can't get an answer as to why this is happening. The garage that works on my car is an independent Acura repair shop and very good. They are stumped. Any one have any suggestions?

Be sure that the wheel hub/rotor surface is extremely clean and has no debris that maybe causing the rotor to be out of true. Even if you have new rotors then it's possible to have a vibration if there is something (rust, dirt,...) causing a high spot.

just the brake pedal vibrates? not the steering wheel? I had the same problem on my TL, it was the rear rotors. just something to think about.

Sticky caliper pins will cause vibrations as well!
