TPMS error/malfunction?
My lady's 08 RDX TPMS monitor went off the other day. She filled the tires with air to their respective pressure recommendations. The light stayed on for another hour's worth of trips, then went off. It stayed off for the next drive, then went back on.
Any ideas?

Yeah, 2008 and 69k on it. In all honesty, I've never owned a car with TPMS on it before. Should I just take it to a shop? Or is it a simple fix?

That would suck, I just bought 4 new tires less than 6 mos. ago. The message isn't giving one tire though, it's a system warning.

Lastly you can always go old school and keep a tire gauge in the center console.

I had the TPMS go off several times in a three week period and it turned out I had a slow leak both times on the same tire caused by nails.
Only other time I had a problem was extreme cold when the temps were in the single digits. I got the warning on all four tires of 27 psi. I add a few more psi in the winter months now to compensate for those cold days.
I would also check for damage to the sensor. Air compressors can have water in them when they fill your tires or fix-a-flat can damage your sensor. I haven't heard of the TPMS readers on the RDX having malfunctions; sounds like it is a TPMS in the tire issue.

We have an '11 RDX and get random tpms system malfunction codes even though tire pressures are ok. The dealer took a few visits to figure out it was my wifi transmitter for gauges that is plugged into the obd port causing interference to the wheel signals.
