Timing Belts

i need a new timing belt badly but im wondering if i can save alot of money if i buy the belt online and then have the garage do it, they want like $680 for just that and then i need a water pump too

my boys got a shop he did it for 283...if you are gunna pay that much might as well have acura do it..

i think hes trying to save money on the actual belt. the belt is not the issue its the labor. 680 is way too much. shop around

how much does the belt actually cost? 30 beans ? haha its all labor parts cost virtually nothing

i got 114k and the maintenence light has come back on for the 3rd time

680 you mines as well get an engine swap, Damn my mechanic did that shit for like 150 bucks and took him like a hour and a half, including the water pump and the recall peice they give you.

$680 is about right for that service..my dealer wants $750 including the water pump..shit is expensive for a 3.0..a 2.3 is only about $450 for belt and water pump.
