Manual Tranny & more power

I always hear about how manual trannies are more efficient at putting horsepower down to the ground and how the drivetrain horsepower losses on Automatics is more then manuals.

Well, if someone did the Six-Speed CL-S manual tranny conversion on our cars wouldn't we get some gains on the dyno as well. A stock V6 with I/H/E/Pullies puts down around 185 WHP, with the more efficient Six-Speed tranny wouldn't we be putting down close to 200 WHP? If so that is mighty respectible for our cars.

BTW, for all you guys complaining about the expense of this swap keep in mind that the guy who did on V6performance.net, only spent 3500 on it, and though he had a couple of hookups I'm sure it wouldn't be that much more for one of us to do. Also, guys are regulary spending the $6000+ on their Accords to purchase and install the Comptech Supercharger kit, and I'd rather have a six-speed with LSD making close to 200 WHP then I would have a an auto tranny that is close to dying and making 230 WHP.

6speed CL-S Tranny & Custom Turbo

what you also need to remember, that guy did almost all the work himself. Are you capable of that? Also, from what i've heard it still isn't running good

Without NOS or forced induction you will never see our cars with 200bwhp. They are rated for the 2.2/2.3 at i believe 145/150 respectivly. subtract out the HP loss to the wheels through the system(tranny, differential, etc etc), then add on bolt ons, and our car will never reach 200bwhp without an engine swap or juiced up, or a custom turbo.

Really, I remember reading something about how he had a couple of problems and that he fixed most of them with various things as well as some Haltech Engine management system.
