Wanting to murder out my TL

Hey guys! i am brand brand new to this forum and not even 24hrs into my 2004 TL. its black on tan interior and i wanted to black out the whole exterior. so my tails lights, side markers, and headlight housing. does anyone know of a decent place in the GTA to go to? i haven't found many people on here but have messaged a couple and just thought it wouldn't hurt to post a thread and maybe get more responses. pls let me know if you know! thanks guys

Sorry I don't know any reputable shops in the GTA area, but please watch your attitude if you would like members to give you constructive feedback.

i give respect where respect is due and appreciate constructive feedback. his comment was annoying and was just a bad taste of what to expect coming from the very first response i got from this forum. i know there are more mature members on here, and wasn't expecting such a douche remark from some kid. then again this is the internet we're talking about. in that case, my bad; and should have known that was inevitable. thanks for at least responding in a more respectable fashion. cheers.

Was my comment too much to handle? It was not directed at you personally. I was simply stating that, by "murdering out" your car, will make the car look cheap and that trend has played out long ago (I'm sure majority of people will agree with me on this).

Now you go on and bash my because of my age? If you can't take some constructive criticism, then don't post at all. Also, this child has a far nicer car than you will ever have.

bankz- thanks dude, ya i saw that thread and msg'd him!

Noobr- LMAOOO chill dude, easy with the "this child has a nicer car than you'll ever have" bwahaha- i love my TL so far and it was the cheapest nicest thing i could find since i didn't want to get a beater, and i didn't want to get brand new since i work on the road and drop 40k km's a year easy. i would love to hang with the big dogs on here and modify like crazy but rather just do little things and be happy with it. so you can relax yourself and your cool 2007 TL. how did you picture me responding to that? "omg this kid is right! i'll never have anything better than a 2007 TL! how did he knowww?!?" LOL. you kill me dude.

ShinzoWerks used to do stuff like that but not anymore.
You can buy the tint material on ebay and a diy on youtube and your off to the races.

Ch1zo is a local member that does film tinting on head/tail lights as well.

Some members here can vouch for his work.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Smoke-...ref=ts&fref=ts

Edit: It can get a bit pricey judging by how you said you bought the car for cheap; you can use spray paint and maybe get away with it on the tails and side markers, but it will be a tough view at night on your headlights.

He may have over reacted a bit but he was welcomed with a curse word and no help, naturally he got defensive.

We don't know his taste, he could potentially murder out his car successfully and we already came to the conclusion that he has bad taste.

He wants information that's why he joined and posted, we as experienced members should know better, not the other way around.

Nelcam- the kind of things you want to do to your car are mods you can potentially take on your self. Look for some spray paint that is meant to tint, practice on something and there you go.

240silvia - You're right. i know nothing about this stuff and was stoked to learn from cool respectable people on such forums(maybe i'll learn something from you one day). and speaking of which...

heishin2, dynamicj32, kidduce - Cheers, I'm glad to see that a few of you guys in this thread didn't want to crucify me for my taste lol. and thanks for suggestions. I'm looking at a lot of things out there for my car and have learned quite a bit with just plugging away on google and seeing what strikes my interest most. i've always loved the murdered look as its simple and not to flashy. but i've found a lot of other options that i love as well.

I wasn't "crucifying" you for your taste.

When I said black spray paint's your best friend, I really meant it and it holds true.

Paint the inside of your headlights with it (blacking out headlights), paint your grill with it, paint your rims with it, your calipers with it, your rear license plate trim, your acura emblem, etc.

another mod that you might consider is changing the ugly oem amber fender markers to hyper white leds before tinting over them, or even clearing out your headlights and painting the housing black.

When you're done 'modifying' your car, please post up some pictures.
Perhaps you can even post up some pictures of your progress right now.

Well I am sure everyone will give you help and suggestions, I think this is a great forum for help on your Acura!

Sorry for coming off strong but you were a bit of a dick with your reply to the user, even if he was telling you that would look ugly on your car. Anyway I am sure you will find this community to be helpful now that all of that unpleasentness is out of the way.

Ooooooooo I like it the way it is now! I'm picturing a clean and stock NBP. Just thought I'd put in my two cents before the idea is ruined with nite-shades and blacked-out stockies at stock height.

That picture of the car (gerzand's TL) you posted has well over 10k of mods.

Obviously it's gonna look good.

I'm very well aware of that. (+ Type-S has nothing to do w this)

The point I'm trying to make is that if his expectations are to look anything like gerzand's car, spray paint won't do it.

ya I've seen those pics already lol

i literally cringe when i log onto this forum now because its just more people prejudging my taste when all the info that you guys have is that i like all blacked out cars. i love a ton of different styles too but with this car being my office, I'm not considering to pay 10k on mods! lol the car wasn't even 10k to begin with! I'm taking any criticism with a grain of salt here so if any of you really think you are going to make me lose sleep over what i should do with my car, think harder. i love the stuff most of you guys do with your rides and thats awesome but please don't shit on my head because i don't plan on doing all the same amazing stuff. this car is getting driven into the ground because my work requires it. its not an a-spec or type-s and I'm not tracking it or anything.

thanks to anyone with any sort of decency when posting. who am i kidding though, me typing all that out is just going to encourage more people to crap on this thread haha. anyways, cheers peeps. do what you gotta.

No one is forcing you to spend money on your car or do anything you don't want too.
You can do whatever you want to your car...its yours after all.

By the same token don't expect everyone to jump head over heels to spoon feed you.

If you can't even figure out how to "murder out" your TL on your own why should everyone else do the leg work for you?
You have a search function so I suggest you use it first in the future before starting a thread about something so trivial.

There's a thread in this very same regional forum of a member doing Blacked Out headlights/taillights and can probably do your side markers too...lol

I can tell you didn't read any of the threads in this forum else you would not have taken what Noober said so personally.
If your going to take every comment so literally and personally you might as well not post at all.
This may seem harsh but its the truth of the matter.

This forum is an amazing resource as you can find the answer to any question you have without having to start a new thread.
Search and do your research first and people will take what you have to say more seriously.

If this is your intro thread...where are the pics of your car??

LOL, because you came on here and posted an idea without an end goal.
or pictures of how you want your car to look.
MOST people cheap out and spray paint everything black.
MOST.
you could be different, we dont know.
we dont even know you.
BUTT, until you post something that is concrete and not an "idea"
you're gonna get flamed, ESPECIALLY CALLING IT "MURDERED OUT"

The murdered out look died in 1999.
Rob and Big KILLED it.

this is awesome lol- pure acurazine gang bang right here haha. in any case, i came with the intention of getting some help and suggestions from anti-douche acura owners; not to be "spoon fed" LOL. I never said, "hey guys please tell me everything so i don't have to look anything up!" my train of thought was "hey, an acura forum. im sure i can find some answers from some people on here considering i have NO experience with these cars. this should be a great place to start!"

in any case, i also understand where the communication broke (so to speak) and sure i reacted to newbers first comment(and my first response on this site ever) the wrong way. i should have just expected that level of immaturity coming from the inter- web, instead of delivering it back haha. but in the end, this is actually turning into a pretty entertaining and comical event.

so i invite you to keep the awesome comments coming! and i invite you to keep thinking that its really offensive to me! and lets see how long we can keep this thread going and lets see how much attention it can get! lets treat this like a game since this thread has been pretty useless to begin with lol.
