To answere the question ... YES it will effect the emission. Would it fail emission ... I highly dought it. Reason being ... 1st _ they no longer do a sniff test and there is no sensore before or after the 3rd cat ... 2nd _ even with a sniff test I think it would still pass since the TL is super low on emission. But I can definitely tell you I noticed a nice little torque gain in the upper power band. As for the ETD .. im pretty sure it fixed my 2nd gear ptoblem and the car feels a bit more responsive. I steel need to drive it more to be absolutely certain.
You're from my area! I'm positive I've seen your car around a couple times, you ever hit up the Timmies on Father Tobin / Torbram late night? I think I've seen your car there, I live down the street from there.
Hey bro how did you get the corner part of the turn signal blacked out with the rest clear? I plan on doing my headlights soon and the way you did it is exactly how I want it.
Did you just cut the amber reflector like the type s and paint it black? If you can go into detail it would be appreciated.

The turn signal housing is held in by a ball joint, so I popped that out. I masked off a straight line where you can see it goes from black to chrome, and just sprayed away with the paint. I recommend you use some proper paint masking tape if you decide to do it cause the cheap shit I used ended up ripping off some of the paint when I took it off,and left a jagged line so I had to go back and mask again, respray, then rip it off while the paint was still wet. Up close it still isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than the first time I did it.
Shell gas station on Sandalwood / Great lakes. Right by my old high school lol.

Ball joint?
They're just held in by clips, man.
Remove the chrome trim piece off carefully with gloves on (the chrome rubs off easily!). They're held in at 4 plastic welded places. I usually try straightening it out, but usually end up breaking them off anyway since they are plastic welded to the diffuser.
After the chrome trim is off, just remove the diffuser by unpopping it out of the housing at the far edge.
Here are some headlights I did to give you inspiration:

Sound clip!
Lol yeah man the diffuser is held in by the chrome line clips, but I was talking about the signal housing which is held in to the back part of the headlight by a ball joint cause that's what I painted

@guitarplayer
DAMN! that's sexx'd. I'm guessing you cut the amber diffusers Type S style then wrapped it in Di-Noc? Did you just paint the projector shroud red?
Anyone here done ZKW-R? Debating if it's worth it or not. The stock projectors on this thing are awesome as they are.

You mean the RDX caliper covers?
I have them on all 4 corners.
They hide the rear caliper pretty well from a direct view, but from any side view you can see the ugly caliper grey.
You'll still want to paint your caliper regardless.

Anyone else have this problem at first with their switchbacks? Right after install they look like yellowish white, and I was pissed. But after having them on for a decent amount of time today they got to a pure cool white colour, whereas the low beams are a warm white. Pics don't do it any justice but I figured I'd post them, now I just need to do the relay mod.

Nope just plugged the bulbs in. Only half the tree is lit up, but I don't have the drl warning light on the dash so I'm fine with it. Output is still decent, especially on a day with overcast

The one is blacked out with the amber diffuser cut and wrapped with 3m 1080 carbon fiber. This is a popular choice.
The car it went on was TL_Seth's.
The other headlight set we did the same thing, but painted the shroud anodized red.
The car it went on was DarkNite's.
Here's one that we blacked out, and kept the amber diffuser, but carbon fiber wrapped the ends.

That is pnoyrice's car.
Here's blacked out but retained the amber diffuser:

That went on shtewps' car.
And of course my car in the background with blacked out with Type-S diffusers.

There's a nice informative thread here which shows how to install them: http://ww.tl.acurazine.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=861739
Hoping to buy coilovers in the next week or two. Leaning towards Tein Street Basis, if anyone has them please chime in with their opinions for GTA roads and year-round weather.
Alternatively I'm looking at BC Racing but they're a fair bit more expensive, cost is a factor for me at this time. I don't care much for dampening adjustment either.

Yo I actually picked up the RDX caliper covers from Acura dealership in Brampton yesterday. I got two for $5 (dirt cheap!) for M/T and/or Type S guys it will give the rear calipers a nice finished look. A/T guys can use it for all 4 corners. For $2.50 a piece you can't go wrong!!

After two winters (this season) I cleaned the grease off (took a while) and they moved fine. Needed a bit of force at times, but for the most part they were alright. I will be covering them in grease again before winter mode. Winter won't ruin them if you take necessary precautions.
Eh guys, I'll most likely be selling my switchbacks if anyone is interested. They aren't the white that I want so I ordered some 6000k bulbs and I'm hoping these will match my side markers a bit better.

nice n glossy. Will post some pics after work. Ill show yall how it looked in red also
