Fighting speeding tickets

So i got a $220 ticket going westbound on the gardiner friday night @ around 12am. I was flowing with about a dozen other cars. I was charged with going 127 (which is bogus) on a 90. In my defense i was singled out because even when the sirens came on i couldn't safely pull over because passing cars were either right beside me going my speed or flying by.

Anywho, i always fight my tickets myself but wanted to know if anyone here in the GTA ever used a traffic lawyer/firm. I'm considering one this time since the ticket is bigger and points are in involved.

thanks

I think that's only if your charged with "stunt racing" which is 50km+ over the limit.

Sorry to hear that, I'd just pay it and say the hell with it. You deserved it. And anyway 220 canadian dollars is only like 10 real dollars

If I were you I'd get someone to fight it for you.
You already put it court which means they will 99% reduce your fine and possibly give your points back. They will ask you to plead guilty with explanation and probably end up paying $200 with no points reduced or something along those lines.
Your still pleading GUILTY = Higher Insurance Rate!!

So I would probably higher someone out who can gurantee you that this ticket will get DROPPED in court.

You can also try to play with the system a little if you have the guts.
A few of friends do it themselves. They know the name of the officer. So say I got a ticket I won't show up in court, but instead my friend or family member can go and represent me. When the crown calls you up go there and he/she will ask if your pleading guilty or not. Tell the crown that your here to represent "name" and you can just ask if the officer is in court. Crown possible will get upset at the question, but should still tell you the answer. If the officer is not present, say you will pleading NOT GUILTY, case will get dropped and you walk way with a clean sheet.
If the officer is in court, ask for another appointment because you away due to a family emergency or whatever else reason.

Nah insurance only goes up if its classified as a "major" conviction regardless if you plead guilty. I'll prob get a traffic lawyer but since they're so many firms, not sure which firm has the highest reputation.

I have used Redline Legal Services in Scarborough.

visit them at www.charged.ca

They did wonders for me and some of my friends back in the day.

You're brave using that thing here, they're illegal in Ontario and really easy to see in your window. I have a little one that mounts in the bumper and the head unit is tiny. It doesn't really matter all that much anyway though because apparently they're starting to use Laser here more now.
