Ever since my ex and I broke up (see prior thread) I have found myself missing the feeling of being in a relationship with a woman. That's unusual for me. I've never been a relationship guy. Since then I've been out on several dates with 3 or 4 women but haven't really found anyone that I have chemistry with.

Hopefully that changes today.

I met a woman on one of these dating sites that seems to have a tremendous amount in common with me. She's 29 years old and lives less than a mile from my shop. She actually passes by my shop every time she commutes to and from work. (She's a real estate attorney for a large law firm downtown.) The first time we talked on the phone we talked for at least an hour and a half. Unlike the other women I went out with, talking with her is effortless and enjoyable.

I've seen her picture, and she seems quite cute (no Jatt, I'm not posting it ), but I've never actually met her. She has half a day off today and is meeting me at the shop at 5:00 to start our date. I don't know quite what we're doing, but I'm sure we'll come up with some good impromptu plans. I'm nervous, but yet very excited. I hope things work out with her.

I'm willing to bet if everyone used these dating sites(I mean everyone) the devorce rate would drop incredably. The idea seems somewhat brilliant. I also imagine it takes out some of the challenge, which is arguably half the fun.

Make sure she has the correct amount of fingers, nipples, etc.

Well - I just got back from the date. I know it's early (10:15), but we started at 5:00.

We went to a local Japanese restaurant and had shrimp tempura and some saki (me) champagne (her). From there we went to play putt-putt golf, and from there to get ice cream. How was it?

SHE'S AWESOME! She's intelligent, funny, and extremely attractive - a real class act. We had great chemistry and have a date planned for tomorrow evening. She's actually changing her plans to be able to go out with me tomorrow.

Tonight I am one HAPPY MAN ! I just keep thinking, "Don't screw this one up, man!"

Just curious, I like to see how things change with age. It seems as you get older or the chicks get older, the investment gets cheaper. Maybe it's because the goods are not as fresh?

 

Depends on your game...the better you are, the less money you'll need. Kinda like banging a stripper, the more money you give her, the less likely she will bang you.

 

I don't know about things getting cheaper. I think older women just know what they want and fish or cut bait. They tend to not waste time on someone they don't think is right for them. This is probably why the whole speed dating thing works (never tried it - but I assume it works???).

Anyways, it happened last night at the end of date 3. She's 29 and I'm a very tired and content 37 year old. (I don't know quite where we fit in on your age scale, Titand19.)

She went with me yesterday to early 4th of July celebrations at my sisters house (she met the extended family), and then we went out to eat with her friends (her friend's 30th B-day). Her friend took a picture of us at the table last night. If I get a copy I ~might~ post it. I hate posed pictures. I seem to never take good ones!

She's definitely a keeper! I'm glad I met her. I'm going back to meet her family today at a BBQ. It's been a whirlwind weekend!
