I just seem to have a bunch of friends with fucked up marriages that ask me for advice, and I don't know the answers, so I take it to AZ. Like all important subjects. Here's another one:

Good friend, recently married. Her husband just doesn't want to have sex with her anymore. She says he's never really been very horny , so she didn't really notice at first that they hadn't been doing it that often until she sat back and realized it'd been like 3 weeks since he even touched her, and probably a month before that. So she apparently tried to reconcile with him and explain to him that she has "needs", and he laughed and agreed with her and promised to be more attentive, but now it's been another 2 weeks and they only did it that one day that they had the conversation.

She really doesn't think he's seeing anyone else or cheating on her in any capacity, because he's pretty religious and very dedicated to the marriage itself. But for some reason he's just not interested in her sexually.

What could be some reasons for this? She hasn't gained weight or nagged about wanting children, or any of the obvious things. Is it possible that he just doesn't have a sex drive? Are any of you like that? Is there anything you can suggest that she could do to entice him into bed with her? Is this retarded that she even has to ask these questions? I'm really at a loss here... I don't know what to tell her.

I pretty much want it whenever I can get it, then again, my gf and I aren't married and we don't have the benfit of being alone much, so there you have that. Sometimes we do go 3-4 weeks without it, but its only because of circumstance, not because we don't desire each other. Maybe he's not attracted to her that way? Maybe he's too religious and one of those people that feel it should really only be done to make children? Maybe he's a homogay? It could be anything... Sex is an important part of a successful relationship, IMO

I don't think he's changed physically. Like I said, she said they've never been like super horndogs, but they did it a few times per week as long as they've been together. This no-sex thing is new, within the past few months, I guess. And it's been gradually getting worse, so she really didn't even recognize it until it was out of control.

I should rephrase the religion thing; he's not super religious, but he does take his marriage vows very seriously; I've known him for a long time and while men are only as faithful as their options, I am pretty sure that his mindset obliterates any options other than her.

Oh, and they're like 25-26.
