1) look up number for police in telephone book or google.
2) call the police using the number obtained through step 1).
3) very important --- wait for someone to answer. they will probably say something like "allentown police department". WAIT FOR THIS OR SOMETHING LIKE IT.
4) talk to the police using the connection obtained through step 2) and the correct break in the conversation reached through step 3).
