...the day of Valentine's Day or sometime prior to Valentine's Day?


My girlfriend and I were having a debate about this issue the other day. She says you ask someone to be your Valentine prior to Valentine's Day so that you can make plans for Valentine's Day itself. However, I say that you ask someone on the day of so that it's more of a surprise to both parties, then you make plans accordingly.

Tell me what you guys think

 

I remember it to be the day of... with your card and a box of chocolates traditionally... make plans for the night...

If I ask a girl to be my valentine it is to be ironic these days. Whoever you are currently fucking is usually your valentine. If you don't have that you find a female friend who doesn't have one, take her out, and either go dutch if there is no potential OR pay and hope her low self esteem and loneliness will at least get you a boob suck.

but i think it depends on how old you are.

yea, typically, i know it as aking the ask day of.

but if you're actually gonna plan a date then you ask beforehand.

I never did. I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day. When I was single I, if it fell on a weekend I would just see which of my friends were also single and just hit a bar. There was a ton of women out on Valentines Day. When I was dating someone, we would just do dinner or something.
