hehe oo ok just wondering, pink diamonds are pimp. Great ring, I'm sure she'll love it! I've always been a fan of 3-stone settings.

Tiffany Bubbles... way to go, except this time next year, every one is going to have a set. It's like that heart tag bracelet. Now there are knockoffs that are so good, you can't tell the difference unless you look for the engraving.

Hmmm... from my experience with a number of different women, heart cut diamonds aren't for everyone. Most of the women I know think they look "cheap" and childish. That same opinion has rubbed off on me but if your woman likes it, that is the only important thing.

Childish is a good word for it. It reminds me of those little rings you would get when you bought Barbie clothes... "and a ring for YOU to wear, too!"

:o I'm sorry! By the time I got to the end of the thread, I kinda forgot that at the beginning, there was someone who was seriously considering buying that ring....

I tend to do that. :o

Make it a round center stone and you're set. :P

Heart-shaped stones (or any non-traditional-shaped stones for that matter) are fads that go in and out over the years. From purely an investment standpoint they are not a good buy because the ring loses value as the shape of the stone goes out of fashion. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if that's what your woman wants/likes, then that's what you should get.

For my money, nothing beats a solitaire round cut on a platinum setting (that what I got my wife!).

My woman don't want wat everybody else got. Everybody got them round and princess ones are getting popular also. btw this is not an $$ investment. I don't care if it is something that will go up in valve because I will never sell it.

It is a very good cut, color like E, i think vs1 or vs 2. jeweler says Hearts don't cost as much as rounds because everybody wants a round. Hearts are diamonds that can't be pears.

LOL... I doubt that. Maybe you live in `rich ville` or something.

Youre right... EVERYONE has those tiffany dog tag lookin bracelets and necklaces.... but they are like $100-300.... and thier just silver.

The cheapest Tiffany bubbles thing is $1200. Platinum, diamonds, and sapphires. Pretty hard to produce a knockoff with real stones for much less than the tiffany box itself is worth! heh

So what's your deal? You one of tommy hilfigers kids or something?

No... I just know a few people with either the earrings or the necklace. I don't have either.

What I really meant is that it's hard to get Tiffany jewelry and have it stay unique... sooner or later, someone else will have if not the real thing, then a copy. Usually a copy, though.

this kind of ties in with that high school thread. There is this girl that I see around sometimes that went to my HS and she is always quick to flash me her cheap ass bracelet I have nothing against those things, but its irritating that she thinks she is the only one in the world wearing that/it makes her special or something.

I think four girls at my office got engaged over Christmas. So... guess what our lunchtime conversation consists of? You got it... detailing to the very last infintesimal degree each aspect of each ring... "Oh, and I just had to have two carats because that's what my sister has, and I couldn't have a smaller ring than SHE had." And, "is yours very slightly included or very VERY slightly included?" "The center stone is actually only 1.3 carats, but the two on either side bring the total weight up to 2.4" etc etc etc. And then they look at me... "Poor Creighton, maybe next year?" *bright smile*

I don'twant them to know just how little I care about their rings. I don't want to burst their bubbles, because I understand how they feel, but do ya THINK they could maybe have the conversation amongst themselves?

Don't worry, Creighton, you'll get a fat ring one day and when you do, those other girls will be envying you.

Yeah, shoes were a bad example. :o

I just meant that we used to actually have conversations that didn't involve the "four C's".

^^^haha I know what you mean...but I guess its like fusion said, its a part of getting older...they are at that stage in their lives. I'm sure when your guy proposes someday you'll be excited about it. I have a pretty nice ring that I wear on my ring finger lol so people I haven't seen for a while always think I'm getting married. Its funny to tell see their reaction when I tell them I just bought it for fun and its nicer than the POS on their hand lol. I just hate when someone tries to rub it in your face that they are getting married and you're still single lol...well if you're a woman..most men I know dont go around bragging that they are getting married

A chick would be happy with a ring from a gumball machine if she really loved a dude (or chick). :shakehd:

Agreed. However, I think if a guy's NOT getting the ring from a gumball machine, and is actually putting down significant dough on a ring, it should be something the girl would like. There's nothing sadder to see than a dude throwing down $20k on a ring that his fiancee hates.

my ex gf told me to get her a ring that was $10k or more or she wouldnt be with me...

I told her that it wasnt happening like that... asked her if i gave her a $5k ring and her Ex were to gove her a ring that was $20k who wouyld she say yes too... she said HIM.. I told her to go get him then...

If a woman looks at a ring as a sybol of your love.. the cost and size should mean nothing... I am a realist and know that a nice ring counts and I wouldnt cheap out but if I can only afford X she should be more than happy with X not complain, say no or what have you becuaes she wanted Y.. Y comes from another man then!!!!
