Well most of you already think I'm probably insane, this might take it further.

I'm pretty decided on the fact that I don't want to have children later on in life. I would consider adoption as an option if I do. I just don't think it's a good investment considering the cost of a child and the possible unknown variables that come along with it.

While Std's are a big concern I mainly have monogamous relationships on a short term basis, max 3 months. At this point in I'm a bachelor living by myself in NYC so my reasoning is pretty much obvious. I'm also curious as to what makes these whores think it's ok to have unprotected sex after barely knowing someone? I just got a new partner, and I'm very unsure of her intentions. While I have done background check and talked to some of her longtime friends, there's nothing to stop her from not getting off my dick and ruining my life. Especially now that my income is increasing, the vagina is coming and I'm only expecting more gold diggers to come my way.

While most of us probably have not considered this, I'm sure some of the veterans in the game might be able to chime in. I have done a good amount of research, but have not yet contacted any doctors in my area.

While vasectomies can be reversed, wouldn't it be easier to just wear the hat while you are playing the field?

But there is still that chance with a condom. What if the condom breaks and then the girl gets pregnant, and decides to have the baby? If you're really sure you don't want kids, I'd go ahead with it. I wouldn't bank on a reversal later though, I understand that they are very painful.

What I find wrong about the way it is these days is the man's held liable no matter what. If the girl chooses to have it and the guy doesn't want it, he should not have to pay. The guy should help pay to get rid of it, but if the girl chooses not to get rid of it, then raising the kid should be her burden to bear (it's the outcome/consequence of her choice). I would not recommend that you push for vasectomy because you have to be open to the possibility that you might want to have children later on in life. I know several people who thought they would not want to have any children but changed their minds once they got married.

In any case, you should still wear a condom - not to prevent impregnating a girl but to protect yourself from STD's, especially since your relationships are short-termed!

Crazy: children are an investment. Basically I have to use my money on someone other than me and that's an investment. Have you done any research on how much children cost to raise. You're easily looking at 50-70k annually in a big city or anywhere within a 30 mile radius.
Plus the risk of the investment is too much. God forbid my child come out retarded, or just grows up bad. You can be liable for your child until it's 18. How many of us did fucked up shit that could have evnded very badly for our parents when we were kids.
