The words will come naturally.. don't make it some big thing.
When the time comes.. Get on your knee. If you forget or think it's no big deal, you'll hear shit for it the rest of your life. My boy didn't.. heard shit for it for two years before tying the knot, so when the wedding day came he got down on one knee at the church when putting on the wedding band to make up for it.. still hears shit.

I honestly went on google and saw what people where doing and I thought nope I'm going to do something on my own.
We took a trip to SoCal with some friends, the friends knew I was going to do it. She was at the house with my 2 friends wives and us the guys went to scope out the beaches and she had know idea what was going on.
I was going to do it in Disneyland in front of the castle during the fireworks show but yea I couldn't wait 2 more days especially with all the family knowing..

and whats good about buying from Rogers is that it never looses value, so if we want to upgrade, we can put full value of the ring towards something new

You know your fiancee best. Think of all the things she loves, cherishes about your relationship, finds funny, what she finds romantic or sentimental, makes her laugh, gets emotional about, finds cute, or enjoys. Think of her values and the type of person she is -- very public and out there, or sometimes quiet or personal. Think of what she might dream of when she imagines her proposal. You might not do it exactly how she would dream it up, but you know her well enough to know what type of proposal will suit her best.
IMO, out of anything to consider, it would be whether she wants it done over-the-top and in the company of others, or whether she'd prefer it be a private moment.....That will set the tone and keep her in whatever her comfort zone is. The rest will all fall into place.

Best marriage proposal I know is a family friend who proposed after having a huge party for family and friends.. waited til they were all gone, his gf was mad stressed out over having to prep so much for the party and was in the middle of washing dishes when he barked at her to come help gather trash.. as she was holding the trash bag he went to pick up some trash on the ground but stayed on one knee and proposed while she's holding bag open.
If she was willing to say yes after dealing with all that mess, then definite keeper he figured.
She said yes, they got married and then he cheated on her 10 years later and is with said mistress even though they have two beautiful kids together. But I love that story.

If she likes cake/cupcakes, why not try to book a private class with one of the local cupcake shops/bakeries. Fill them in on your plan since I'm sure it's not typical of them to offer this.
Have your girlfriend choose her favourite flavour(s) ahead of time and get her excited about being able to learn the local shop's secret recipe in making it professionally. If she's suspicious, you can even suggest you can use the cupcakes later that weekend in celebration of your anniversary (but I wouldn't say anything unless she's obviously wondering why you'd take her to do this).
Go to the shop together and spend an hour with the baker making what your girlfriend has chosen...make it from scratch and decorate it/them too. Have the bakery box up what you've made. Propose at the end of the private class or at dinner and then you'll be able to whip out the cake/cupcakes you made and have instant dessert that both of you made to celebrate the special ocassion. Can even have the shop throw a specially decorated "congrats" or 'ring' cupcake in the box on your way out when she's not looking (make sure they tape the box closed so your gf can't open to see it).
......A little less cheesy way to incorporate her love of cupcakes....

Three Wheelin'
Send her on a scavanger hunt. Get a ring box and put the first clue in it. All the clues could reference some part of your relationship until now. The last clue could send her to a local cake shop. You can have the owner make a special cupcake that says Marry Me? I wouldn't put the ring in there, just be on one knee when she opens the box.

I'm guessing you're Catholic. Living with your girlfriend is okay, it's boning her which the church frowns upon.
I know of a couple relationships that ended because they didn't know how the other lived. The couples knew each other for years but never lived with one another.
