Question for the members with kids...

How long did you work at it before you realized you were having a baby?

Well let me ask you... Why do you want to know??? have you been working at it???

Ok... anyways... i'll tell you my little "story" about working at it...

It wasn't really planned and i was only 20 years old... yes very recently, my daughter is 9 3/4 months old... 10 months on the 14th ... anyways, about 1 year and 10 months ago... you can say me and my wife were working it pretty good... w/ the little happy hat of course... anyways... one night we were talking about it (she brought it up) and that she wondered what it would be like to have a child etc...

Well the night after mr. happy and his little hat were VERY happy working "it"... and we worked it for a couple (meaning: 2 or more) hours... in the mix of that mr happy decided to take his hat off and of course we both agreed on it, so to answer the question above...

1!!!

She got tested 2 to weeks after and it was positive (Tip: take her to planned parent hood!!!)...

Oh good luck and let me congratulate you in advance...

It took over a year. We had been married for 6 years (7 now) and were waiting for my work schedule/training schedule to be manageable before starting a family. I am 41 and she is 33. We are expecting in April 05.

Hope that helps.

Happened the first time my wife went off the pill.

My son will celebrate his one-year birthday next month.

More to come....no pun intended.

Kids

We planned our kids.
The try to plan them in the spring from May to the summer of August.
The reason for this is simple.
We didn't want our kids to start school at the age of 6.
How many parent do you know trying to get there kids into school the age of 5.
But cant' because there child will not be 5 until after Oct of that year.

A little planning can go a long way!

And hopefully you are ready!

Go on all your favor vacations spots before your first born.

Do whatever you want to do FIRST!!!!!

It's your first born who will take most of your energy.

One month for the first and one day for the second.

Make sure to put a raincoat on your soldier for a few months after she stops taking the pill to avoid complications - definitely discuss with her doctor the recommended time period.

The first time, I think it only took 2 months but my wife had a miscarriage after about 8 weeks (not uncommon but still sucked nonetheless). After that, we were told to wait several months before trying again. Not to mention, my wife's cycle was a bit screwed up after the miscarriage. I think it then took 4-5 months and sex became a chore. For our second child, I think it only took a couple months.
