Anyone here familiar with Milan??

Im gonna be in town for 1 night only, and want to take my friend out for a nice romantic evening

since she lives there it'd be natural for her to show me around, but I was hoping Id be able to find out a bit about the city first and surprise her with a plan of my own for the night..

 

You're better off letting her do all the work. If she's a local, she'll just think you Googled everything.

 

I would probably try to talk to some locals. A lot of the shit you will find on the internet is still probably not going to work. Just let her show you around and then settle down at a nice wine bar.

 

You can always call a few hotels in the area (prior to your arrival) and ask what their local favourites are. If you notice more than one person mention the same restaurant, it must be good (or their taste sucks...you be the judge).

 

P.S. Since when do you take a "friend" on a nice, romantic date.
