Ok I hear this more mature and set in his career and maybe this doesn't apply when your older but remember in high school that senior dating the freshman? Depends upon what his motive is -
Could be a genuinely nice guy who fell for you because of your intrinsic personality.
Could be a guy in the midst of some freaking mid-life crisis (a few years early) trying to prove to himself and the world that he is still attractive and can land a sexy young thing
Could be that he has a thing for playing daddy, which is a little sick, but works for some....

I'd hang in there long enough to figure out what his motive is, and if his feelings are genuine, let the relationship take its course. But if he's just using you to prove his own youthful vigor, I'd blow that popsicle stand fast.
