I was going to share my story about how I was almost (well, no one can be that dumb) as dumb as the OP and how I turned my life around...

OP: two things:
1) you're lucky Rachel is so nice. She could have taken back the car, shut you out of your child's life and told her the next guy was her father. Kids at eight months old love bottles, not people. She would have never remembered you.
