alright, ive known this chick for about 3 years now. she used to live in philly then moved to reading pa for a year and a half. we kept in contact just through aim really. then she moved back to philly about 8 months ago. since she's been back, we've been pretty tight... hangin out, talkin alot. it just recently hit me, im like damn, i like this girl. we hit the club on tuesday night with my friend, this girl and her 2 friends. we had a blast and since then i cant stop thinkin about her. i wanna approach it but i just have a feeling that ill get the old "we're to good of friends" line. i honestly cant tell if she is feelin me or not. i dunno... she's just been on my mind.... confused

The way I would approach it is casually, when its just the two of you, "hey, I was thinking, why don't you have a bf?" and see what happens from there, this is a tricky situation because chances are high that you are in the friend catagory, or she could just be waiting for you to make a move... If you really like her then i say go for it. If she likes you as a true friend, and just a friend, she will prolly think its sweet of you but then tell you that she doesnt think it is a good idea. Seems like you guys have been good friends for a while and something like this shouldnt break that friendship. If it does then i guess you werent that really good of friends as you thought.

 

A long-term real friendship between a man and a woman will not happen in most cases, it usually ends up with one of the people falling for the other. If both people feel the same way then it will turn out great, if not then I feel bad for the other person....

Next time it's just you and her, do what Tireguy said, ask her why she doesn't have a boyfriend. After she responds, just say, "hey, why don't you and I give it a shot?" If she takes a moment to think about it, throw out some good points that you already spend a lot of time together, you know each other, you have fun together, etc..

I was in this boat once. It worked out perfectly till I fucked it up on a new years eve and did something really stupid.
