I don't think there's a right or wrong. I think deep down, she just wished you would've offered to pick up Connor. IMO, it's not that you didn't read her mind or that she didn't verbalize it directly, I think she just hoped that you would think of it out of the goodness of your heart, without her having to ask, because you realized it would help her out that day - not because it's an expectation she has on a regular basis.

 

Am I the only here that thinks it's a bad idea to have your GF who has a kid move in with you
