Alright...this is getting old FAST...today I finally found someone in class that I decided was worth pursuing. Everyone else that I am attracted to has a rock the size of my HEAD on their left ring finger. So I approach her and totally get shut down...this is the 4th time this semester this has happened...WTF happened? I talk to them for a few periods, I am pretty sure I got the 'glib' thing down...but this always happens when I ask them if they wanna study, or get together after class or whatever. My last 3 girlfriends have only happened becuase of a) friends hooked me up or b) they wanted me, and asked me out. I also have NO idea how to go about the club/bar pickup..(BTW I cannot dance, at least not fast, like in a club)

So I need pointers on how to make this kinds stuff work...I know that I am not particularly good looking and what not, but I am fairly sure I am not ugly...(see pics thread, but drop 7-10lbs fat from that pic and put 5 of muscle back on, I've only got about 3/4" over my abs that need to go, but that does not show up with clothes on, at least, not the way I dress, gotta know your limits, right?)

Well after talking with her for a while, I asked her (and I thoght that things were going well) pretty much if she would like to hang out sometime...(should I have used go out...I thought that was too comittal this early, but whatever)

She replied with Ii'm busy, shcool, work" I can take a hint

Once Im in the relationship, Im really good at keeping it going and giving advice to people,

but im rather timid and dont like approaching people for the exact reason of rejection.

 

In my experiance you need the gift of gab. Be able to carry a conversation without any nervousness, like you could care less if you ever get laid. It also helps if you are self confident.

If that doesn't work.....

Go to a bar ..pour her full of booze...you'll get handled...

 

LOL, yeah I need help on making the pickups in bars. I probably was too timid...that is my problem...rejection...the last few times I have talked with women at parties etc, I just get one word responses...that sucks...

 

I think your confidence level has a lot to do with it.

I got rejected so many times, that I just stopped trying all together.

 

I'll be the first to admit that is a problem for me...I am damn ready to just say fuck it...especially after the last girl I dated. After all that time and effort, and feeling like she was right, gonna last for more than a month or two and all and then what she did...just shit...especially after telling me that she saw something long term in our future...

I know all about the rejection thing. Don't look like you're trying too hard, that can be off-putting. And once you've had enough, you get to the point of "fuck it, why do I try". I'm almost there. My friends tell me it's when you least expect it something happens. I scoff, but secretly hope they're right.
So the point of all this? What everyone else said, don't take it too harshly, maybe it's just the girls you're asking? maybe they feel like theyre better than you are. In which case, why would you want to date a girl like that anyway?

confidence, practice asking girls out who you would not normally ask and practice my friend. you can't just be a pimp right out of the bat. practice on any girl you see and build your confidence level. then when u see the girl you really want you'll know what to do

I go up to any girl and ask for their number or see if she wants to hang out, even if i know 99.5% im gonna get rejected. most of the times its pretty easy cuz im actually trying to hook a stranger up w/ one of my boyz and not for me. Also it doesn't hurt to have some of your female friends hang with you when you ask someone out. don't know why but it does. may be it assures them that your not a physco killer.

You just need to work on your confidence. Brainwash yourself into thinking that you're the best thing out there, and it's her loss if she isn't interested. When you get rejected, go get your mack on another girl in the same place.

Seriuosly, you should try asking the 6,7,8s maybe. I know that's my problem. I always focus on the "hottest" ones, then get left in the dust.
