Been Married for over 5 years and separated last year and Haven't dated in a few months since I get real busy at times and really don't have time to go out looking for girls. As well as its something new to me and never thought I would have to do this all over again. So I do go clubbing a lot but I really don't want to find a Girl thats a club head since I'm kinda looking for someone to settle down with a little. Whats a good way to go about finding some Good hearted Shorties with a good head on their shoulders without having to find them at the Club and a solution for someone that is very busy most of the time...

 

I'd start at Chuck E Cheese or Toys R Us, they're guaranteed to be shorties there

 

I'm sure you probably feel that way because you are used to someone being there... But remember this... Single women are crazy or jaded from a previous relationship.

Keep clubbing a find a couple of cool females to spend sometime with, meet their friends, and their friends friends and start to network.

Also if you have any social clubs (we have dodge ball and softball teams) hit those up, there are a LOT of fun females out there.

Finally if you don't already have one, get a dog... Jesus there are some sights at the dog parks.

If you do stuff you like, and meet people who like the same things, then you will end up a happy man.

How old is your daughter? If she's old enough maybe she can start playing sports and you can meet some young MILFs with only one kid around your daughter's age. You prolly don't have enough time to be a coach.

It's cool going to the club, I still do but it's mostly to hang out with my boys since I already have a serious GF. Most club chicks I meet are relatively young and seem more likely to be flaky and not as serious about relationships as more mature chicks. The older club chicks are more likely to be divorced and have kids and with that comes baggage.

You definitely have a good attitude for someone getting out of a 5 year marriage, you're still young and have confidence and that's key. I've met chicks in all sort of random ways. Out in the water when I'm surfing (getting to check out her body in a bikini=profit), doing muay thai, at the gym, at the bookstore, etc. I like athletic girls so obviously it makes sense for me to meet them doing something physical.

Join a sports league like softball or volleyball that is coed. Or join the Sierra Club and go hiking, lots of chicks are in to that around here. Sign up for a continuing education night course at the local college, you could do wine-tasting or cooking class or floral arrangement (J/K, well not really) where there's going to be some females.

The most important thing is to keep yourself busy and stay confident. No harm putting some chicks sideways while you are getting back on your feet, I would just recommend against introducing them to your daughter unless the relationship is going somewhere. Just don't turn into some manwhore or your dick might fall off. A lot of men becoming women-hating misogynists after getting out of a long relationship and use sex as a weapon to placate their own self-loathing.

Anyhow, what I meant is "sometimes" the best way to get back in the game is start dating again and not be afraid to be "intimate" with a new girl. To what Justin said, young girls are never that matured. You're 28, if she's 18-20, don't expect her to be anywhere near the same level mentally as you. I've had two friends go on-line with great success (eHarmony). Both got married and are very happy. I know on-line isn't for everyone, but if I had to start over (and arguably I'm many years down the road from you), I'd go on-line. If for no other reason, I'd want the ability to pre-screen women before I even made the investment of a lot of dating (and I'm sure they'd want to pre-screen me... ). But at this point I'm not regularly around hundreds of single women like I was in college, and I don't have it in me to spend the time in clubs or other hangouts to see if lightning strikes.

I just see on-line as a means to do better pre-screening. In my mind, I'd rather read about something that may be a deal-killer through e-mails and such than learn it 3-4 dates (and $300-400) down the road.

I'm not a proponent of "on line dating" - that's not what I really meant. I'd just use a site like that as a quick way to preview dozens of women and learn more about them that was as a way to get down to one or two I'd even be interested in seeing in person. From there it's all "real dating".

If they are not honest with their pics, then so be it. I guess I don't know how common that is. But in person, you could like what you see and they could lie about who they are. I don't think on-line vs. in person really protects you from either. If someone wants to misrepresent themselves, they can do it either way. I guess the risk on line is they could both misrepresent their looks and who they are.

But for me, there could be things on paper that would be equal deal killers than just not being attracted to them, that I'd like to learn for free (and also becasuse I'm a cheap bastard... ).

 

Time is money so I see your point. I just wonder how easy it is to use the anonymity of online services as a crutch for those who lack the social skills to run game in real life.
